EML 5.0 is a well established package within the specialist insurance industry serving the Energy Sector. EML 5.0 performs a rapid estimate in monetary terms of the worse case incidents associated with refinery and petrochemical plant, given only minimal data for the plant's layout inventory and value. In particular three major perils are covered: Vapour cloud Explosions (VCE), Pool Fires, and Internal Explosions. The EML 5.0 software package has been developed to meet specific requirements of underwriters and risk managers. It has also proven a useful tool for plant designers and operators, local authorities and other parties who require rapid, cost effective consequence analysis of major refinery and petrochemical industry hazards. EML 5.0 helps analyse the safety implications of alternative plant layouts, including contingency planning. A demo version of the EML software is available for evaluation purposes and can be obtained by contacting CWA.

CWAESTO was developed to assist legal teams in coping with the ever growing volume and complexity of documentation which they are presented with during legal cases. The powerful software is suited to any situation where large volumes of documents are to be handled and presented. As the software has been developed from its conception by CWA its workings are fully understood and any aspect of the program can be customised to suit specific requirements. |

Firstly, CWAESTO is
a fully-fledged document management solution. All paper documentation is first scanned into the computer systems, through using OCR technology specifically developed for the legal arena the images are converted to the electronic text, which can be easily stored and searched. As many as 20,000 documents could be stored on a single CD, representing in the first instance a massive saving in terms of volume and weight which would have to be distributed. |

The presenter has complete control over how and when the material is displayed, and from their own computer can change the display on any of those screens shown to others |

CAROL (Control and Reconcile Oil Losses): developed in the 1980's, the CAROL Package is recognised Internationally by the Marine Insurance sector and by the Institute of Petroleum LORIAS: database commissioned by major energy underwriter to structure confidential technical information on claims. Developed for internal use in late 1980's IFAL (Instantaneous Fractional Annual Loss): CWA retains the intellectual property right in the IFAL software which is applied in risk assessment consultancy projects. There are prospects of further development of IFAL through a collaboration programme with UK universities and specialist consultants |
