CONSULTING FOOD SCIENTIST

Central London office (WC1)

A rare and exciting opportunity exists for a full time senior position within our Food Group, based at our central London office. CWA has been established for 25 years and is an internationally recognised source of independent expertise which is widely used by our many clients concerned with international trade and shipping. Much of our work is commissioned by the marine insurance sector and its legal counterparts and concerns incident investigations worldwide, claims analysis and provision of expert witness. The CWA Food Group has an excellent track record and there is clear scope for development.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate with the necessary mix of skills, experience and aptitude to take up the day to day management of the Food Group, working with a team of expert consultants.

The candidate should have:

• First class tertiary qualifications in food science or a related discipline
• At least 10 years' experience with the food/agricultural industries.
• Knowledge of quality control, especially in storage, transportation and distribution of foods and beverages.
• A natural aptitude for a career in consultancy: self motivated, gregarious, ability to think and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, a team player with commercial awareness.
• The post will be based in our central London office. The candidate must be in good physical health and be prepared to travel at short notice to attend overseas assignments.
