CWA has a long established track record in dealing with matters concerning Oil, Gas and Chemicals. Oil and petrochemical plant are high capital major hazardous installations, which impose large loss potentials. Safety and pollution issues are of paramount concern, whilst quality issues dominate and contamination claims constitute a prevalent risk. Bulk liquid cargoes account for around 40% of seaborne trade, encompassing the shipment of crude oil, petroleum products, petrochemicals, liquefied gases, as well as vegetable and animal oils.

The work of the CWA Oil & Chemicals Department is extensive, and is under the direction and control of three in-house highly experienced specialists. Through our register of External Consultants the Oil & Chemical Department has direct call upon complementary expertise, to ensure that the most appropriate advice is available and applied to meet the requirements of our clients' instructions.
