Specific Expertise and Experience

Data Analysis Skills

In-depth experience of spreadsheets and databases (single and multiuser) to efficiently store, interrogate and analysis complex data. Has constructed bespoke databases for the input of multiple sets of data for input by paralegal teams which were under his supervision.

Extensive IT Experience

Able to develop novel solutions to problems by delving into an array of experience and knowledge including; computer hardware setup, operation and diagnostics, Microsoft and ‘Unix’ Operating Systems, network (cabled, wireless, mobile) administration skills, web site design and advanced HTML including form handling and database integration, VOIP, real-time and video audio broadcasting. Further experience of configuration and maintenance of various internet services such as Realmedia, ftp, http and mail servers.

Familiarity with Software for the Legal Market

Use of software packages to assist legal teams in and out of the court environment, including as well as the general usage support for; the data extraction, manipulation for Concordance and Livenote.

  • Testing, quality control, and support of bespoke software tailored to the specific needs of the leading reinsurers of petroleum and petrochemical plant.

  • Analysis of realisable value at auction of vintage publications destroyed by fire in warehouse prior to sale. Determine required dataset to perform computations and supervise team of students to extract data from public records.

  • Analysis of technical records to identify the use of oil at a large storage facility over a five month period deploying chemical laboratory analysis reports and operational records, in order to establish quantities of oil misappropriated at the facility under a set of misappropriation rules set by the Court.

  • Development of bespoke database software to allow capture of selected information leader responsible for the analysis of contemporaneous business records to establish the pattern of trade in large-scale offshore oil trading operations; the analysis done with specialist software, developed in-house.

  • Data manipulation for further review by statistical expert in dispersion modelling for detailed atmospheric pollution study.

  • Data retrieval and input of historical claims paid out by major oil insurers for further analysis.
