CWA has a long established track record in dealing with matters concerning Oil, Gas and Chemicals. Oil and petrochemical plant are high capital major hazardous installations, which impose large loss potentials. Safety and pollution issues are of paramount concern, whilst quality issues dominate and contamination claims constitute a prevalent risk. Bulk liquid cargoes account for around 40% of seaborne trade, encompassing the shipment of crude oil, petroleum products, petrochemicals, liquefied gases, as well as vegetable and animal oils.
Our purpose is to assist clients in the risk management of international trade of oil, gas and chemicals and bulk liquid cargoes by sea, pipeline, rail and road. CWA is routinely instructed to attend incidents, asses complex claim and provide expert evidence in litigation. We also provide specialist advice for loss prevention, safety, and environmental protection.
